Netizens lap up Piggy Butler romance buzz

Priyanka Chopra’s rumoured affair with Hollywood star Gerard Butler is heating up an unexpected territory—the worldwide web.
Blogs are flooded with posts that Gerard “ attempted to woo Priyanka” by throwing a party for the children who acted in Slumdog Millionaire. In fact, Butler’s attempt to “flatter Priyanka” has become a hot item on the web. While asiancemagazine. com did a direct encore, Scottish newspaper The Daily Record raised doubts about the 300 actor’s love shot.
According to an entry in fadedyouthblog , “The Slumdog kids first met Gerard at the Oscar ceremony. He is said to have fallen for their innocence. But it was another Indian actor, who really caught the Scottish actor’s eye.” The RocknRolla actor heated up matters by stating that he won’t mind getting married to an Indian girl.
Priyanka already has a boyfriend and she has declined to comment on Gerard.
But Priyanka had joined Gerard and the young actors for a special lunch at a five- star hotel. According to The Daily Record, “Cynics would say the PS... I Love You actor was using the family man image to seduce Priyanka.” Several sites and blogs have already uploaded Priyanka and Gerard’s pictures along with the Slumdog kids.
“What a man- housing the kids to woo a woman. Just kidding! The two should get married and adopt Rubina Ali,” quips a blog.
It’s hardly surprising to note that several blogs, web portals and interactive sites are getting daily dose of spice from the alleged affair. The topic has received around 4,000 hits within a couple of days on the YouTube.
What’s interesting is that Priyanka is already making waves on gerardbutlergals.com—a community—based fan site for Gerard. The site, though, doesn’t mention anything about the much-hyped affair.
Priyanka-Gerard is making major news on the internet about Gerard proposing marriage several times to her at a party hosted by the actress.
“He was completely smitten with her,” a blog entry states. For those who came in late, Priyanka was introduced to the Hollywood star Gerard at a Dubai event. Then, too, Gerard had apparently flooded Priyanka with compliments and even asked her to do a film with him.
The Dostana girl had a similar experience with Virgin Airlines’ Richard Branson. He got on his knees to tell her that she was the only woman worthy of being called a goddess. “He was just being sweet and chivalrous,” she had said.
Meanwhile, Gerard enjoyed his meal with Slumdog kids Rubina Ali, Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Ayush Mahesh Khedekar. He had an especially good time with Rubina, with whom he played around all the time.
The report of the alleged affair came amid reports trying to link Priyanka with Shahid Kapoor after her reported breakup with Hurman Baweja. The actress, on her part, has always avoided talking about her constant link- ups, including Gerard.(- Mail Today)
